What use am I going to give my electric bicycle?

3. My goal is to use it as a method of transportation. Here you will have to choose an urban electric bicycle. The great dilemma of this type of ebikes is whether to choose a folding or compact one. If you have enough space at home to store an urban electric bike, we recommend a non-folding ebike. Difference between a full suspension electric MTB and a hardtail

The most important thing when you are on an electric bicycle is to feel comfortable on your routes. Customers tend to value full suspension electric mountain bikes much higher for this reason. On the descents, you feel more comfortable because you have more grip and you notice less any obstacles that you may encounter. In an electric mountain ebike, the motor helps you climb the slopes, so it is not important to lock the suspension as in a lung bike.
The great advantage of mountain ebikes with only front suspension is that they are cheaper than full suspension. In the lungs it is said that they provide less rebound on the climbs but in the electric ones this is not important because you have the help of the motor on the climbs.

You can find an electric MTB with front suspension from €2,500 and a full-suspension electric bike from €3,500. The most important thing in an electric mountain bike, whether it is full suspension or rigid, is that it has a central motor, this means that the help that the motor transmits to you is direct and that it is done when you want depending on the force with which you pedal.

Better a folding electric bike or compact ebike?

For this question there is only one answer. Folding electric bicycles are a necessity depending on the space you have, whether at home or in the office or gym. That is why many brands have put the batteries and have manufactured folding ebikes with excellent folding and that work very well when you are riding. The Spanish brand Flebi has one of the best folded and they are quite cheap urban electric bikes.
If you have enough space everywhere you go, compact electric bikes are slightly better than folding ones, especially in terms of the frame part. They have more rigidity, since it is a single piece, and better withstand any impediment that you may encounter during the route.
